Growing together.As a full time, nonexempt Pharmacy Technician with Optum/CPS at Central State, you will assist in various pharmacy activities under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist. Your responsibilities will include preparing, delivering, and restocking medications; procuring drugs; and billing. You will carry out your job duties according to written procedures and guidelines based on pharmacy standards and regulatory requirements.Schedule: This position will be scheduled 40 hours per week.About the Facility: Central State Hospital is a state run hospital that operates under the Kentucky Division of Behavioral Health. This is a psychiatric hospital that works with adults who have severe mental health illnesses and need supportive treatment to help them regain control over the symptoms and struggles they're experiencing so that they can eventually reclaim control over their lives.About the Pharmacy: The pharmacy is open Monday-Friday from 8 AM-4:30 PM.Primary Responsibilities:Review, verify, and dispense medication orders to ensure appropriateness, safety, and accuracyProvide clinical pharmacy services, including medication therapy management and pharmacokinetic dosing and monitoringCollaborate with physicians, nurses, and care teams to optimize medication regimens for hospitalized patientsMonitor patient outcomes and medication safety, identifying and preventing adverse drug eventsSupervise and support pharmacy technicians and interns, ensuring efficient and compliant workflowEnsure regulatory and accreditation compliance, including Joint Commission, state, and federal requirementsYou'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.Required Qualifications:High School Diploma or GEDKentucky Pharmacy Technician licenseCertified Pharmacy TechnicianRecent experience in a hospital or retail pharmacyProficient computer skills including experience using Microsoft OfficeProven effective communication skills, verbal and writtenPreferred Qualification:Behavioral Health experiencePay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The hourly pay for this role will range from $16.00 to $29.00 per hour based on full-time employment.
