Community Pharmacy Technician I - Part-time 24 hrs/week

Pharmacy Technician IBaptist Health is looking for a part-time, 24 hours per week, day shift Pharmacy Technician I to join our Community/Retail pharmacy team at Baptist Health Louisville!Responsibilities include:Performing all functions and duties with the patient at the center, ensuring prompt and friendly service in the Community Pharmacy.Performing all tasks associated with the filling and dispensing of community prescriptions, including computer order entry, updating patient information, filling and labeling prescriptions, and completing transactions at the point of sale.Delivery of medications to discharging patients per Pharmacist's requests.Completing prescriber outreach for prescription refills under direct pharmacist supervision.Assisting with scheduling and coordinating home delivery for prescriptions.Assisting in inventory management processes, including order review, inventory returns, restocking shelves, and physical inventory preparation.Assist with maintaining the Pharmacy department by keeping it clean and in order.Ability to prioritize workflow by patient impact and ensure that all assigned tasks are completed at the end of the shift. All identified problems, if they cannot be corrected by the employee, will be reported to the Pharmacist.Performs simple nonsterile compounding per current USP guidelines and as permitted by state law under the direct supervision of a pharmacist.Assists in training new staff when assigned.Escalates all identified problems or patient complaints, if they cannot be corrected by the employee, resolution.Attends and contributes to the content of meetings and committees as assigned.Completes other duties as assigned by the Pharmacist or Community Pharmacy Manager.Minimum RequirementsHigh school diploma or equivalency required.Registration with Kentucky Board of Pharmacy (KY hospitals), within 30 days of hire date if you are a new registrant.
