We’re partnering with an established national defense litigation firm looking to add an experienced New Mexico-licensed Attorney to its growing practice in Albuquerque, NM.

 

This is a great opportunity for an attorney looking for a high level of case ownership, flexibility, and the backing of an established national platform.

 

The Role

The attorney will handle a range of civil and insurance defense matters, with a preference for experience in Medical Malpractice and/or General Liability.

 

Responsibilities will include:

· Managing matters throughout the litigation lifecycle

· Developing case strategy and handling client reporting

· Drafting pleadings, motions, and dispositive motions

· Managing written discovery

· Taking and defending fact and expert depositions

· Attending hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and court appearances

· Supporting trial preparation and handling matters through resolution

 

The Ideal Candidate

· Admitted to practice in New Mexico

· 4+ years of litigation experience

· Medical Malpractice or General Liability defense experience preferred

· Broader insurance defense experience will also be considered

· Strong deposition, discovery, motion practice, and case management experience

· Comfortable independently managing an active caseload

 

The firm is also open to more senior attorneys interested in helping grow the New Mexico practice or bringing an existing book of business.
