Junior Attorney

Our law firm has a full‑time associate attorney position available now and we’re looking for the right professional to join our team. You will have the opportunity to learn from senior associates and litigation associates on legal issues and will provide legal counsel to existing clients. You’ll also be responsible for performing legal research, drafting documents, and keeping client files up to date. If you’ve successfully completed law school, passed the state bar exam, and are seeking a full‑time opportunity to practice law with plenty of room for growth. Responsibilities Maintain client files in an organized fashion to ensure up‑to‑date information is handy for other attorneys, paralegals and support staff Prepare correspondence and legal documents such as contracts, pleadings, briefs, affidavits, motions, and settlement agreements for contract negotiations and proceedings Perform legal research, prepare for and attend hearings or other legal proceedings, and give general counsel under the supervision of senior associate attorneys Review client issues on legal matters, analyze available options, and diligently work to determine the best course of action Communicate with senior associates, paralegals, and clients to ensure cases are handled efficiently Qualifications Exceptional communication skills and problem‑solving skills needed in order to work with all levels of staff and our clients Member in good standing and actively involved with the ABA (American Bar Association) Ability to work with senior attorneys to best serve client needs and grow our client base Candidates must have passed the bar exam Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree required from an accredited law school Who We’re Looking For Take initiative and don’t wait to be told what to do Are comfortable independently researching, learning, and problem‑solving Care deeply about clients and treat everyone with respect (clients, staff, opposing counsel, judges) Are excited about litigation and being in court when needed Want mentorship but don’t rely on hand‑holding Believe excellent lawyers can also be excellent human beings Compensation $89,000 per year #J-18808-Ljbffr Marshall & Taylor, PLLC
