McLeod Centers for Wellbeing is currently searching for a full-time Assistant Director of Nursing to work in its Clinical Operations department in Charlotte, NC.

How will you help us achieve our mission? You will:

• Assist in planning, directing, and evaluating nursing services across the organization.
• Ensure nursing care is delivered in accordance with clinical standards, organizational policies, and regulatory requirements.
• Support implementation of evidence-based nursing practices.
• Supervise, mentor, and evaluate nursing personnel, including Nurse Managers, Registered Nurses (RNs), and Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs).
• Assist with recruitment, onboarding, scheduling, and retention of nursing staff within budgetary requirements.
• Provide clinical coaching and ongoing staff education related to addiction medicine, behavioral health, and patient safety.
• Support nursing and pharmacy readiness for inspections, audits, and accreditation surveys.
• Assist in developing, reviewing, and updating nursing policies and procedures.
• Participate in incident investigations, corrective action plans, and risk management activities.
• Oversee safe medication administration practices, including controlled substances, in accordance with regulatory requirements.
• Monitor patient outcomes and identify opportunities for quality improvement.
• Required to work as a program nurse, as needed, to ensure staffing coverage of department.

What are the qualifications needed for this role?

• Education/Experience: BSN required, MSN preferred. Nursing Management experience required.
• Certificates/Licenses: Unrestricted NC RN or RN from another state that participates in the multistate nurse licensure compact.
