Finishing OperatorFirst Shift Hours: 8:00AM to 4:30PM scheduleSecond Shift Hours: 3:00PM to 11:00PM schedulePay: $18.00 - $21.00/hourResponsibilitiesSet up and operate label inspecting machines and related finishing equipment to slit printed material into strips of specific widths.Receive job assignments from the Finishing Supervisor or Team Lead and review job specifications to determine correct cores and rewind methods.Review job jackets thoroughly to confirm that all finishing, packaging, and shipping specifications are correctly addressed before starting work.Inspect products during and after processing to ensure quality integrity, including visual checks for defects and compliance with customer requirements.Observe the flow of material through the machine to detect irregular cutting, winding, or other issues and make necessary adjustments.Verify the quality of finished work, including color accuracy, size, die cuts, perforations, print quality, and quantity of packaged items being shipped.Assist in cutting, collating, wrapping, and packaging of converting jobs to support overall production workflow.Perform preventative maintenance on machines to keep equipment running efficiently and minimize downtime.Remove and replace blades and other wear parts on inspection machines safely and accurately.Complete all required paperwork for each job, including production records and quality documentation, and prepare finished goods for shipment.Package products securely and accurately according to shipping and customer specifications.Job Type & LocationThis is a Permanent position based out of Peabody, MA.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $40000.00 - $50000.00/yr.
