Clinical Laboratory Technician - Tryon Medical Partners

Labcorp seeks a Clinical Laboratory Technician for its Charlotte, NC facility to perform routine and complex laboratory testing procedures, operate instrumentation, and ensure specimen quality and accurate result reporting in a fast-paced diagnostic environment.

Responsibilities

• Assess specimen acceptability according to established departmental criteria
• Perform routine and complex technical procedures following Standard Operating Procedures
• Monitor, operate and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation for proper function
• Execute preventative maintenance, quality control, and document all procedures
• Report accurate and timely test results to support patient care quality

Requirements

• Associate's degree in Chemical/Biological Science, Clinical Laboratory Science, or Medical Technology
• Minimum 6 months clinical laboratory testing experience in Hematology, Urinalysis, Coagulation, Chemistry
• ASCP or AMT certification preferred
• Proficiency with computers and laboratory information systems
• Ability to pass standardized color blindness test
• High attention to detail with strong communication and organizational skills
• Capability to handle physical requirements and work independently or as part of team
