Clinical Laboratory Technician - Tryon Medical Partners

Labcorp

Charlotte, NC

Labcorp seeks a laboratory technician for its Charlotte, North Carolina facility to perform routine and complex testing procedures, operate instrumentation, and maintain quality control in a clinical laboratory setting. The position operates Monday through Friday, 12:00pm–8:30pm.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate specimen acceptability according to established testing criteria
  • Perform routine and complex technical procedures following departmental standard operating procedures
  • Monitor, operate, and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation for proper functionality
  • Execute preventative maintenance and document quality control procedures
  • Report accurate and timely test results to support patient care delivery

Requirements

  • Associate's degree in chemical/biological science, clinical laboratory science, or medical technology
  • Minimum 6 months clinical laboratory testing experience in hematology, urinalysis, coagulation, chemistry
  • ASCP or AMT certification preferred
  • Proficiency with computers and laboratory information systems
  • Ability to pass standardized color blindness test
  • Experience in high-volume laboratory environments
  • Strong attention to detail, communication, and organizational skills
