Strategic Energy Management Advisor

Strategic advisor driving organizational change. Candidates must reside within the Tennessee Valley region to support local Program Participants and maintain strong relationships with regional Stakeholders. This role includes occasional travel throughout the Valley to facilitate meetings, perform site visits, support program implementation, and engage with customers and partners.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a strategic advisor to complex participant organizations by aligning SEM initiatives with business objectives, operational priorities, capital planning efforts, and organizational performance goals to maximize long-term value creation.
• Lead high-impact participant engagements characterized by organizational complexity, multiple stakeholders, and significant energy performance opportunities while developing customized implementation strategies that drive transformational results.
• Influence leadership teams and cross-functional decision makers by facilitating strategic discussions, securing organizational commitment, addressing resistance to change, and building executive support for sustained energy management initiatives.
• Provide advanced analysis of energy performance, operational processes, and organizational systems to identify systemic improvement opportunities, quantify business impacts, and support long-range energy and operational strategies.
• Champion energy culture transformation efforts across participant organizations by designing change management approaches, leadership engagement strategies, governance structures, and accountability mechanisms that embed energy management into business processes and organizational decision-making.
• Mentor and develop Energy Coach I and II staff by providing technical guidance, coaching facilitation skills, sharing best practices, and supporting quality assurance initiatives that strengthen overall program delivery capability.
• Lead development and refinement of SEM methodologies, tools, and participant resources by incorporating industry best practices, emerging trends, and implementation learnings that improve participant outcomes and program effectiveness.
• Represent the program with key external stakeholders, industry partners, and client leadership by providing subject matter expertise, supporting strategic initiatives, and helping strengthen regional adoption of SEM principles.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Energy Management, Sustainability, Operations Management, Business, Manufacturing, Data Analytics, Organizational Leadership, Industrial Technology, or a closely related discipline.
• 6-10 years relevant experience in SEM, industrial operations, energy management, manufacturing, utility programs, consulting, facilities, reliability, or continuous improvement.

Compensation: In accordance with local law, the below salary range is applicable for the job and location associated with this requisition. Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, geographical location, and other compensable factors.

Other Compensation: Employee may be eligible for participation in the Company's annual Discretionary Bonus Program which is contingent on Company, Business Segment, and Individual performance against Key Performance Indicators which vary by year and employee.
