Benefits Specialist III

The University of Florida is hiring a Benefits Specialist III to lead faculty and staff fringe benefits administration within the College of Medicine-Jacksonville. This role provides advanced consultation, compliance oversight, and operational support, independently managing complex benefits processes and serving as a primary resource for diverse employee groups on various benefits programs and employee support services. Highlights Lead subject matter expert for faculty and staff fringe benefits administration at College of Medicine-Jacksonville. Provide consultation on health insurance, retirement programs, leave administration, wellness initiatives, and employee support. Administer complex benefits transactions in systems like myUFL, including retirement actions and status updates. Coordinate annual Open Enrollment activities and wellness initiatives. Ensure compliance with federal/state laws, university policies, and benefits program changes. Develop communication tools and educational resources regarding benefits programs. Analyze operational workflows and recommend strategic improvements. Support executive recruitment activities and employee recognition programs. Required qualifications include a bachelor's degree plus two years of relevant experience or equivalent. Preferred certifications include SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR.
