Freelance TikTok Creative Strategist - Beauty & Makeup

Company Description Sonela Beauty is a clean, skincare-infused makeup brand rooted in Ayurveda, holistic wellness, and mindful self-care, creating high-performance, non-toxic products that enhance natural beauty.
Role Description The Freelance TikTok Creative Strategist – Beauty & Makeup will develop and execute TikTok-first creative strategies that amplify Sonela’s brand storytelling, products, and wellness-centered values. This remote contract role involves concepting and scripting short-form video content, creating trend-driven content ideas, and guiding visual direction tailored to beauty and skincare audiences. The strategist will research platform trends, competitor activity, and audience behavior to inform content pillars, posting cadence, and campaign themes. Day-to-day responsibilities include collaborating with the founder and marketing team on creative briefs, refining brand voice for TikTok, optimizing content for performance, and providing data-informed recommendations for future experiments. The role may also involve coordinating with creators, suggesting hooks and formats, and ensuring all content reflects Sonela’s commitment to inclusivity, clean beauty, and mindful self-care.
Qualifications
- Ability to provide strong Creative Strategy and Creative Direction for TikTok-native beauty and makeup content.
- Experience in Brand Strategy, with skill in translating brand values into platform-specific storytelling and campaigns.
- Proficiency in Writing and Research to craft compelling hooks, scripts, captions, and trend-informed concepts.
- Track record of planning and executing successful TikTok or short-form video campaigns for beauty, skincare, or lifestyle brands.
- Deep understanding of TikTok culture, current trends, sound usage, and best practices for organic and paid content.
- Strong visual and aesthetic sensibility aligned with clean, luxury, wellness-focused beauty brands.
- Comfort working independently in a remote, contract capacity, managing deadlines and delivering clear creative documentation.
- Experience collaborating with creators or UGC partners, and familiarity with basic performance metrics (views, engagement, retention).
