Business Intelligence Analyst - Remote

Our client, a well-established and growing national wealth management and financial planning firm, is seeking a Business Intelligence Analyst to join their Corporate Finance team. This individual will transform complex data into practical insights that help leaders across the organization make confident, data-driven decisions. The role uses enterprise data platforms to build trustworthy reports and dashboards, analyze trends, and support stakeholders across the firm, including the Executive Team, Finance, Advisory Leadership, Tax, and Marketing. The BI Analyst will collaborate closely with an offshore analytics team to maintain data accuracy and delivery timelines, and will leverage AI and automation to reduce manual work and accelerate insight delivery.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Analyze and interpret data to create and distribute outputs for the Board, Executive Team, Finance, Advisory Leaders, Marketing, and other functional areas.
• Design, develop, and support dashboards, analytics, and reporting solutions for a wide variety of BI datasets in partnership with business stakeholders.
• Conduct ad hoc analyses and provide actionable recommendations to improve program performance and support data-driven decisions.
• Audit warehouse data against source systems and update source systems or warehouse business logic to ensure accuracy and consistency.
• Test new fields within source systems and the data warehouse to identify opportunities for trend analysis and enhanced insights.
• Build and maintain marketing KPI reporting, including campaign performance, channel ROI, and dashboards; analyze channels, offers, and audiences using KPIs such as conversion rate, contact rate, and lead quality.
• Use SQL to create tables in Microsoft Fabric to apply business logic to data and build lists for marketing content distribution.
• Automate repeatable workflows (e.g., data refreshes, quality checks, report distribution) using approved tools to reduce manual effort and improve efficiency.
• Collaborate with training teams to ensure accurate representation and understanding of data visualizations.
• Communicate frequently and work closely with the offshore team during weekly check-ins to progress projects and deliver specifications for new outputs.
• Respond to requests for analysis tools and data validation from all departments.
• Maintain user access and visibility across the organization, ensuring sensitive data is accessible only to appropriate users.
• Manage reports and schedules for firm-wide distribution.

Qualifications

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Analytics, Data Science, or Computer and Information Science required.

Experience:

• 3-5 years of experience in a BI analyst role or similar.
• Proficiency in Power BI or other data visualization platforms and experience with automation practices and systems.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with SQL, Python, Azure, or Microsoft Fabric.
• Ability to take complex data points and present them in an easy-to-understand manner; telling stories with data.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, listening, and presentation skills.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• An understanding of financial services or RIA business needs, budgeting procedures, methods, and evaluation criteria.
