Registered Nurse – Radiation Oncology

Shift: 10-hour shifts, weekdays
Weekly pay: $2,917–$3,026 per week
Guaranteed hours: 36 per week

Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care for patients undergoing radiation oncology treatment, including assessment and appropriate nursing interventions related to disease, treatment course, and follow-up
- Collaborate with the Radiation Oncology Team to coordinate patient care, referrals for recovery, rehabilitation, nursing home care, hospice, and nutritional services
- Teach and counsel patients and families to help cope with a cancer diagnosis and treatment process
- Serve as a liaison between Radiation Oncology and other departments, physicians groups, and support services
- Evaluate patient status in conjunction with the Radiation Oncologist; document findings and assist with exam and plan of care
- Adapt to a fast-paced care environment and communicate effectively with a multidisciplinary team, respecting varying ages, development stages, and cultural backgrounds

Requirements
- Current Colorado RN license in good standing
- BLS and ACLS certifications (American Heart Association)
- Minimum 2 years of RN Radiation Oncology experience (not Medical Oncology)
- Education: RN with Colorado license in good standing
- Ability to work in a fast-paced radiation oncology care setting
- Radius rule: traveler’s permanent address must be at least 75 miles away from the assignment location
