JB041 - Housekeeper with Meal Prep/ Nanny - Manhasset, NY

Overview

A busy Manhattan family relocating to Manhasset, New York at the end of July is seeking an experienced full time hybrid housekeeper/nanny to join their growing household. Both parents work full time and have three young children, including a newborn expected later this year, making a reliable, detail oriented professional who can seamlessly manage both household operations and childcare support an essential part of daily family life.

This is a full time role that will evolve alongside the family’s needs. Initially, the focus will be primarily on housekeeping and house management, with light childcare assistance such as driving the eldest daughter to and from school. As the new baby arrives and the family settles into their new home, the role will expand to include more hands on childcare responsibilities, functioning as a true hybrid nanny/housekeeper. The family is looking for someone with solid infant and baby experience who can step in confidently when needed, including covering for the primary nanny during vacations or busy stretches when all three children are home at once.

The ideal candidate is self sufficient, warm, and thoroughly experienced in both household management and working with young children. Responsibilities

• Perform thorough general cleaning and tidying of all common living areas, bedrooms, bathrooms, and kitchen
• Manage household laundry including washing, drying, folding, steaming/ironing (as needed) and putting away for all family members. 
• Maintain cleanliness and order throughout the home on an ongoing basis across scheduled days
• Prepare simple, family-style meals (dinners only) as needed; cooking does not need to be elaborate but should be wholesome and family appropriate
• Childcare
• Transporting the children to and from school and activities
• Coordinate with the family regarding any household supply needs or scheduling considerations
• Work efficiently and independently without day-to-day direction

Qualifications

• 5 years of professional housekeeping experience, ideally in a private household setting
• Demonstrated experience with household laundry care, including delicate fabrics and care label adherence
• Comfortable and experienced working in a home with young children
• Basic family-style cooking ability
• Self-directed, reliable, and highly organized
• Warm and professional demeanor

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of private household experience
• Valid United States work authorization
• Strong, verifiable professional references
• Must be comfortable around a small dog
