Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER) College Station, TX
A Registered Nurse will provide emergency care in an acute Emergency Room setting, supporting patients across a range of medical needs including pediatrics, cardiac presentations, STEMI, stroke, and some trauma. The role includes delivering care with established clinical workflows and collaborating with the emergency care team to support timely treatment. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.

Job Details

• Schedule: 12-hour shifts, with evening shift assignments; minimum 36 hours per week are required.
• Required Qualifications: Active Registered Nurse (RN) license; Basic Life Support (BLS); Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS); Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS); Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC); NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS); minimum 2 years of ER experience.
• Preferred Qualifications: First-time travelers are acceptable.
• Certifications (additional role requirement): Advanced Dysrhythmia certification must be passed before signing the contract (three attempts are provided).
• Responsibilities: Provide bedside nursing care for Emergency Room patients, including patients requiring common emergency infusions and medications; perform nursing care for patients in holding/observation areas when holds are intermixed within the Emergency Room; complete electrocardiogram (EKG) tasks as assigned; coordinate with respiratory therapy support for respiratory treatments as required.
• Additional Information: Call outs are strongly discouraged and could lead to termination.
• Additional Information: Unit and clinical screening may be required as part of onboarding. Candidates who have been employed by facilities associated with CommonSpirit within the past year may not be eligible; PRN employment through outside firms may be considered.
• Additional Information: A minimum orientation period of 13 shifts may be required depending on experience, with an orientation checkoff packet and preceptor-based onboarding.
