About the Role
We are looking for a driven, relationship-oriented Partnerships Manager to help build and grow Sora Care’s presence in Detroit, Michigan .
This is a field-facing, market-building role for someone who is energized by meeting new people, creating trust, and turning complex healthcare programs into clear, compelling opportunities for referral partners and families. You will own outreach and relationship development across your assigned market, building partnerships with healthcare providers, community organizations, care managers, social workers, specialists, and other organizations that support families and caregivers.
The ideal candidate is a proactive builder with strong follow-through, high emotional intelligence, and the ability to operate independently in a fast-paced startup environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Build referral partnerships with healthcare providers, community organizations, pediatric practices, specialists, therapists, care managers, and family support organizations.
- Own market outreach through in-person visits, calls, emails, community events, and other local relationship-building activities.
- Manage the partner pipeline from first outreach through active referral relationship, keeping CRM records accurate and up to date.
- Educate partners on Sora Care’s model, eligibility criteria, enrollment process, and value to families and caregivers.
- Represent Sora Care locally with professionalism, warmth, and a clear understanding of our mission.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth handoffs from partner referral to family onboarding.
- Share market feedback with leadership to improve messaging, operations, and growth strategy.
Qualifications
- 4+ years of experience in healthcare partnerships, sales, business development or a related role.
- Proven ability to build relationships, conduct outreach, and manage a pipeline with strong follow-through.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational skills and comfort using CRMs, spreadsheets, and other technology tools to manage daily work.
- High emotional intelligence and ability to build trust with healthcare providers, community partners, families, and internal teams.
- Self-directed, resilient, and energized by building a market from the ground up.
- Prior experience in healthcare, home care, or health tech. Medicaid experience is a plus.
- Must reside in or near Detroit, Michigan and be comfortable with regular local travel.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
Benefits and Compensation
- Competitive compensation: the annual on-target earnings range for this position is $95,000-$140,000. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on candidate experience, knowledge, skills and qualifications.
