Perform MIG (GMAW) and/or Flux Core (FCAW) welding carbon steel materials. Maintain high-quality standards in weld appearance, size, and penetration. Work independently or as part of a fabrication team to meet production schedules. Inspect welds for conformance and report nonconformities to supervision. Follow all safety procedures, including PPE use, material handling, and safe equipment operation. Must always wear appropriate protective gear, including welding helmets, gloves, safety glasses, and steel-toe boots. Operate welding machines, grinders, saws, and other fabrication tools in accordance with manufacturer guidelines and shop protocols. Must be able to identify potential safety risks in the work area and take proactive steps to eliminate or report them. Must be able to follow approved Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) and fabrication drawings to ensure structural integrity and regulatory compliance. Safely lift, move, and position materials using proper techniques and mechanical assistance when needed. Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
