We are looking for a talented Special Education Teacher for the school year.

Hourly Rate Range : $45.00-$65.00 per hour

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in accordance with New Hampshire Department of Education (NHED), state special education rules, and IDEA requirements.
• Provide specialized instruction to students with disabilities in resource, self-contained, inclusive, and one-on-one educational settings.
• Adapt curriculum, lesson plans, instructional materials, and teaching strategies to meet diverse student needs and learning styles.
• Monitor and assess student progress through formal and informal assessments and use data to guide instructional decisions.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, administrators, and families to support student achievement and inclusion.
• Participate in IEP meetings, reevaluations, eligibility determinations, and multidisciplinary team discussions.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation, including IEPs, progress reports, service logs, and compliance records, in accordance with New Hampshire and federal regulations.
• Implement behavior intervention plans (BIPs), positive behavioral supports, and classroom management strategies to promote student success.
• Support students in developing academic, social-emotional, communication, and independent living skills as appropriate.
• Ensure compliance with all state, federal, district, and school policies governing special education services.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Special Education, Education, or a related field from an accredited college or university.
• Valid New Hampshire educator credential issued by the New Hampshire Department of Education with an appropriate Special Education Teacher endorsement.
• Appropriate disability-specific endorsement, when required by the assignment, such as Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities, Emotional and Behavioral Disabilities, Specific Learning Disabilities, Deaf and Hearing Disabilities, or Physical and Health Disabilities.
• Experience developing, implementing, and managing IEPs.
• Knowledge of IDEA, New Hampshire special education rules, and best practices for serving students with disabilities.
• Successful completion of all required criminal history records, background, and applicable DCYF Central Registry checks.
