Electronic Technician

Electronic TechnicianValkyrie Enterprises has an immediate need for an Electronic Technician who will provide key support for the Navy's SSDS initiatives on site at Dam Neck Annex base in Virginia Beach, VA.Responsibilities include:Assembling various electronics per specific guidelines and requirements.Reading, interpreting, and drawing electrical, electronic, and electro-mechanical schematics.Being familiar with and using test equipment such as multimeters and cable testers.Following strict installation wiring guidelines and reading and interpreting building construction plans.Being knowledgeable with National Electric Code requirements and practices.Performing maintenance, installation, troubleshooting, and testing of security wiring & power circuits.Providing logistics support for INCO kits, MAMs kits, interim spare kits for repair and upgrade.Providing lab support for Harvesting of Material and Testing, Assembly, Packaging, Inventory of Spares.Applying the Reliability Centered Maintenance process to develop Preventative Maintenance System Maintenance Index Pages, Maintenance Requirement Cards, and to respond to Navy PMS Technical Feed Back Reports.Qualifications include:High School Diploma and at least 3 years of technical experience with installation of electronics/electrical systems.Experience as a technician with installation of electronics/electrical systems including, but not limited to: Intrusion Detection Systems, Access Control Systems, Closed Circuit Television, Intercom Systems, Mass Notification Systems, Fiber Optic cable assemblies, Printed Computer Boards (PCB) Installation, Low Voltage Electrical Systems.Ability to use basic test equipment and the preparation of site test data and documentation.Ability to work in a demanding, deadline-driven environment, be detail-oriented, and self-motivated.Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to work independently or under limited supervision.Ability to install, test, and troubleshoot Electronic System equipment, read schematics and technical manuals.Desired Qualifications include:At least 3 years of experience in electronic system installation and testing.At least 3 years of technical experience with installation of electronics/electrical ESS systems.Manufacturer's certification or technical training.Proficiency with Microsoft Office Products and Adobe Acrobat.OSHA 10- or 30-hour Safety Certification.Security Requirements include:Eligibility to obtain and maintain a Secret Security clearance with the possibility to upgrade to "Top Secret" if required.US Citizen with a current Passport and valid Driver's License.Travel Requirements include:Travel is less than 10%.If position requires travel by domestic flight or access to secure federal facilities/military bases, candidate must be able to obtain (by start of position) and maintain appropriate identification credentials, such as REAL ID.Physical Requirements include:Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.Communicating with others to exchange information.Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers.Pre-Employment Requirements:Any offer of employment with Valkyrie Enterprises is contingent upon the successful completion of all applicable pre-employment requirements.
