Experienced Body Shop Paint TechnicianCrown Collision Center is hiring an Experienced Body Shop Paint Technician for our busy department!Primary Duties: Refinishing, preparing and painting vehicles in accordance with paint manufacturers specifications and management standardsPay Rate: $21/hr - Must be experienced and able to do quality refinishing and painting.Crown Collision services 12 dealership lines plus numerous Insurance Direct Repair programs.Crown Collision Center is the Auto Body Shop for Crown Automotive Group, a family-owned and operated business for 56 years. The opportunities at Crown are truly limitless!If you love automobiles and collision painting and if you meet our qualifications, we want to talk with you!Our Benefits Include:Medical, dental and vision insuranceShort- and long-term disability coverageLife insuranceFlexible spending accounts401k w/ company matchPaid Time Off (PTO)The stability of an established companyLots of work with an expanding customer baseAll job specific training and certifications as applicableOpportunities to serve your communityRequirements:Experience as an automotive paint technicianQuality workAbility to pass pre-employment drug screening and background checksMust be able to prove eligibility to work in the U.S.Valid, Clean driver's license for a minimum of three yearsJob Duties / Responsibilities:Finish work according to delivery time and skill requirements.Maintain the mixing room in an orderly fashion.Use paint and materials in an economic manner.Follow the Crown Collision Centers quality control process.Operates and uses all body shop equipment properly and safely.Removes rust from metal, and grease and dirt from work surface.Masks and protects parts that are not to be painted or coated.Fills cavities and dents with putty to attain smooth surface.Mixes paint according to specifications.Selects and mixes coating liquid to produce desired color.Paints surface using sprayer or brush as appropriate.Inspects painted units for quality of workmanship, noting any runs, sags, and unpainted areas.Maintains tools and keeps equipment clean and in a proper state of repair.Keeps work area clean.Maintains and wears all required safety and health personal protective equipment, including respirator, in the manner recommended by the equipment manufacturer.Complies with all laws and regulations pertaining to paint, thinners, and other hazardous materials. Reports any deviations to management.Cooperates and assists other personnel in the repair and prepping of vehicles.Understands, keeps abreast of, and complies with federal, state, and local regulations that affect body shop operations, such as hazardous waste disposal, OSHA Right-to-Know, etc.Maintain the integrity of the paper flow.Attends department meetings as requested.Reports any safety issues immediately to management.Comply with all policies as described in the “Crown Employee Handbook.”Other duties may be assigned, based on company’s needs.EOE/DFWPThank you for your interest in Crown Collision Center and the Crown Automotive Group!At Crown Automotive, our culture is defined by our unwavering commitment to being 'Employee Centric'.
