Behavioral Health Registered Nurse (RN) - Float Pool

Schedule

Day shift, 3x12-Hour (07:00 - 19:30). Weekend requirements include every other weekend.

This is a 13-week contract position.

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Behavioral Health Registered Nurse (RN) for our float pool. The ideal candidate will possess at least two years of nursing experience, with a minimum of six months to one year specifically in a psychiatric or behavioral health setting. As a float nurse, you will provide care across all inpatient units for children, adolescents, and adults, demonstrating solid clinical judgment, assessment skills, delegation abilities, and leadership qualities.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in various inpatient units.
• Demonstrate clinical judgment and assessment skills in handling diverse patient needs.
• Lead and delegate tasks effectively within the nursing team.
• Support interdisciplinary teams in delivering high-quality psychiatric treatment.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience required.
• At least 6 months to 1 year of experience in a psychiatric/behavioral health setting preferred.
• Valid RN license is required (temporary licenses are not accepted).
• BCLS certification is required.
• Experience with the Sunrise charting system is preferred.
