approximately 40 food trucks and a full-service commissary supporting both company trucks

and independent operators throughout the region. With 100 years in business and a small,

tight-knit team, we are hiring our next AP / Payroll / HR Clerk as our tenured employee retires

from the company. This is a high-trust, high-ownership role with direct responsibility for accounts

payable, payroll, HR administration, and general accounting support.

The Role

Moody's Lunch Service, Inc. is hiring a part-time AP / Payroll / HR Clerk. This position will be

responsible for weekly accounts payable, vendor payments, bi-weekly payroll processing, HR

files, onboarding/offboarding, employee compliance, workers' compensation injury reporting,

healthcare open enrollment administration, and general accounting/administrative records.

QuickBooks experience is required. Accounts payable, payroll, and HR experience are required.

This position is approximately 25 hours per week, on-site only, scheduled within Monday–Friday,

7:00 AM–3:00 PM. Pay range: $35.00–$40.00 per hour, depending on experience.

Responsibilities

• Process weekly accounts payable invoices and vendor payments
• Process bi-weekly payroll and maintain payroll-related records
• Maintain HR files and employee documentation
• Handle employee onboarding and offboarding
• Maintain employee compliance records
• Handle workers' compensation injury reporting
• Coordinate healthcare open enrollment administration
• Coordinate employee compliance and mandatory trainings
• Review invoices, statements, and supporting documents for accuracy
• Maintain filing, reporting, and general accounting/administrative records
• Communicate with vendors, employees, and management as needed

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of related experience preferred
• QuickBooks experience required
• Accounts payable experience required
• Payroll and HR experience required
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to maintain confidentiality
• Good organizational and communication skills
• Proficient with Excel, email, and general office systems
• Experience with isolved payroll system preferred, but not required
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred, but not required

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in fleet, food service, retail, or multi-unit operations
• Familiarity with payroll processing, employee files, onboarding, compliance tracking, and

workers' compensation reporting

• Prior experience in an accounting, payroll, HR, office manager, or administrative support

role

Schedule

• Part-time, approximately 25 hours per week
• San Diego, on-site position only
• Monday–Friday, scheduled within 7:00 AM–3:00 PM

Pay

$35.00–$40.00 per hour, depending on experience.
