Description

American Traveler is hiring a Registered Nurse for an Emergency Department position requiring a PA or compact RN license, ACLS/BLS/PALS certification, and at least 1 year of ER experience.

Details

• Emergency Department setting within a community hospital
• 1:3 patient ratio
• Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00-7:00)
• Every other weekend and every other holiday required

Requirements

• Active RN license (PA or Compact) required
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, and PALS
• Minimum 1 year of ER experience required
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Skilled in cardiac monitoring and emergency response, management of dysrhythmias, IV therapy/phlebotomy, central line care, medication administration, IV vasopressors, BiPAP/CPAP management, and care of ventilated patients
• Experience with isolation precautions/PPE and triage required
• One supervisory reference from within the past year required for consideration

Additional Information

• PA fingerprinting and ChildLine clearance must be completed within 48 hours of signing a contract, and fingerprinting must occur in PA
• Lab work must be completed within 72 hours of signing contract
• Candidates with prior permanent or per diem employment at the facility must disclose this history and must have been separated for at least 18 months before returning as a traveler
