Job Posting End Date06-07-2026Please note the job posting will close on the day before the posting end date.Job SummaryResponsibilities include updating contract data and volumetric hedge position of electric booked business, improving current knowledge and understanding of market trends, electric supply, and fundamentals across various RTO's, and maintaining and auditing the completeness of the retail supply company's portfolio of signed contracts.Job DescriptionWHAT YOU’LL DOPerform daily maintenance of risk positions and market deal valuationsResearch market changes and regulatory filingsPerform ad hoc analysis to determine customer usage behavior and impacts to pricing and performance of booked businessCoordinate with Pricing and Usage Data Management teams to implement and maintain usage profiles in the Risk databaseRecommend and test enhancements to Risk systems and processesExecute required SOX and business controls for volumetric tracking across Risk, Pricing, and Billing systemsAudit contract data to ensure optimal data integrity and financial forecasting accuracyDevise and generate custom reports out of risk databaseCoordinate the filing of Renewable Portfolio Standard and Green-E requirementsEnsure compliance with EIA and other governmental reporting requirementsWHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOREducation: Bachelor’s Degree required in business discipline such as Finance, Accounting, Economics, Math etc. Other degrees will be considered based on experience.Experience: one (1) year of energy experience in an analytical is a plus, but not required.OTHER REQUIREMENTS:Intermediate Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, complex spreadsheet design); Effective problem-solving skills: ability to work from concept to analytics, identify alternatives and develop unique solutions; General intelligence with inquisitive and investigative attitude; Interest in energy industry, specifically deregulated electricity and natural gas; SQL and VBA skills a plus with an interest to further develop skillsWHAT YOU’LL GETBase Salary: $64K - $79KIn addition to base salary, AEP offers competitive Total Rewards including: discretionary short-/long-term incentives, 401(k), pension, health insurance, vacation, educational assistance, etc.WHO WE AREAt AEP, we’re more than just an energy company — we’re a team of dedicated professionals committed to delivering safe, reliable, and innovative energy solutions.
