Job Title: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) – Contract (11 Weeks)
Location: Portland, Oregon 97216
Pay Rate: $801 – $913
Schedule: Day Shift (36 hours/week, 12-hour shifts)
Provides direct patient care under RN supervision
Assists with ADLs: bathing, feeding, dressing, hygiene, positioning, mobility
Monitors and records vital signs (BP, pulse, etc.)
Reports patient status, changes, and concerns to RN
Assists with restorative care, restraints, and patient support devices
Supports unit flow with basic clerical and documentation tasks
Maintains patient safety and comfort across med/surg and stroke units
Works within staffing ratios (typically 1:4–1:5 days)
May float based on staffing needs
Uses EPIC for documentation and Omnicell for medication systems
Coordinates with interdisciplinary teams (pharmacy, phlebotomy, transport, unit secretary)
44-bed med/surg unit (includes 8 stroke beds)
Support services available 24/7 (hospitalist, intensivist, pharmacy, phlebotomy)
Weekend coverage required every other weekend or 6 shifts per 6-week schedule
High School Diploma/GED preferred
Active Oregon CNA certification required
Current BLS (AHA or equivalent) required
Prior CNA or patient care experience preferred
Compliance with all required vaccinations as a condition of employment (medical/religious exemptions may apply)
