Fire Alarm Inspector Location: Jacksonville, Florida (On-site) Role Overview We are seeking a Fire Alarm Inspector to provide inspection and maintenance for customer systems. This position will work closely with field project teams and clients to ensure systems are inspected and maintained in a code-compliant manner. This role requires attention to detail, effective communication skills, and the ability to manage projects efficiently. Key Responsibilities Perform functional testing of fire alarm systems, including smoke and duct detectors. Review system layouts and coordinate with service departments for successful project execution. Conduct field surveys and maintain daily project logs of activity. Produce detailed inspection and deficiency reports in accordance with NFPA standards. Ensure projects are delivered on schedule and within cost budgets. Log and transmit inspection reports using iOS-based software on an iPhone or iPad. Provide support and guidance to other inspectors. Manage job scheduling and progress with a focus on quality and cost-effectiveness. Required Qualifications Experience as a fire alarm inspector or similar inspection experience in other trades such as roadway or building inspection. Proficiency in technical documentation with strong attention to detail. Ability to use an iPad or iPhone for reporting. Knowledge of OSHA safety standards. Preferred Qualifications Up to two years of experience in an inspector technician role within the fire detection and protection industry. Proficiency in NFPA 72 code requirements. NICET Level I certification. Knowledge of current fire alarm and clean agent/special hazard fire suppression systems. Ability to read fire system design drawings.
