Senior Vice President, Equities Engineering (Full-stack)

Salary: $30,000 - 55,000 per year Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in computer science or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience; an advanced degree is preferred.
• 10+ years of experience designing, building, and delivering real-time, scalable, resilient software in financial services or similarly complex, high-throughput environments.
• Deep expertise in Java and the Spring ecosystem, including Spring Framework, Spring Boot, Spring Security, Spring Data, and ORM frameworks.
• Proficiency with Angular, TypeScript or JavaScript, and HTML/CSS; working knowledge of jQuery and component-based UI architecture.
• Strong experience with relational and analytical databases such as Oracle or Microsoft SQL Server, including data modeling, query optimization, and large-scale data management.
• Hands-on experience with Apache Kafka, IBM MQ, and the FIX protocol, and understanding of event-driven and asynchronous system design.
• Understanding of Scrum and Agile methodologies, with the ability to deliver in fast-paced environments with changing priorities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to coordinate, influence, and advance cross-team initiatives.
• Demonstrated analytical problem-solving ability and capacity to develop pragmatic, innovative solutions while balancing technical rigor and delivery speed.
• Familiarity with AI coding and productivity tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Windsurf, or Claude Code, and willingness to use AI-assisted workflows.
• T-shaped engineering expertise is preferred: deep knowledge in either backend or frontend, with broad familiarity across the stack.

• Lead the design, architecture, and implementation of trading, sales, and operations workflows, aligning solutions with business goals and engineering best practices.
• Design and build flexible, scalable trade-flow software for varied client-side and OMS-side integrations and high-throughput scenarios.
• Collaborate with Product, Trading, Operations, and Engineering teams to turn complex business needs into robust, scalable technical solutions.
• Evaluate and adopt emerging technologies with the engineering team to develop a modern, high-performance technology stack.
• Advance AI-driven automation, intelligent code refactoring, and AI tooling to improve developer productivity and system efficiency.
• Write and deliver well-designed, testable, secure, high-performance code; conduct thorough code reviews and follow engineering standards.
• Provide second-level production support, troubleshoot complex issues, and contribute to incident resolution and post-mortems.
• Mentor and coach junior and mid-level engineers, encouraging continuous learning, technical growth, and strong engineering practices.
