Certified Nursing Assistant Per Diem

FLSA: Non-Exempt Shift: 8:00 - 4:30pm Job Location: Charleston, WV and surrounding areas Position Summary: Substitutes for full-time CNA. Under the supervision of assigned licensed nurse, assists the hospice patient/ family with personal care, activities of daily living (ADLs) and other duties as instructed by the licensed nurse. Manages patient caseload and provides support to patient/families in the home setting. Performs other job duties as assigned. Position Qualifications: High School diploma or equivalent. One year CNA, nurse aide, or home health aide preferred. Strong problem-solving, organizational, communication, and people skills. Contingent upon successful completion of drug screen, background check, and other screenings as applicable. Physical Requirements: Ability to lift, transfer, and reposition patients up to 50 pounds independently and over 50 pounds with assistance. Frequent standing and walking for extended periods (8-12 hour per shift). Frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and reaching. Ability to push and pull equipment (e.g., wheelchairs, stretchers, and medication carts). Visual acuity to read medication labels, physician orders, and monitors. Auditory ability to assess patient needs and respond to alarms or calls for assistance. Exposure to infectious diseases, bloodborne pathogens, and bodily fluids. Frequent interaction with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members. Fast-paced clinical settings with potential for high stress. Required use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
