This role serves as a senior escalation point for operational and technical issues, making critical real-time decisions that protect on-air integrity and support live revenue-generating broadcasts.Working closely with Engineering, FOX Sports, Entertainment, and News teams, you will help test, validate, and operationalize new technologies and distribution solutions. You will leverage deep expertise in playout automation, graphics systems, server-based playout, and content distribution workflows to maintain operational excellence in a fast-paced, 24/7 environment.This role requires a combination of technical expertise, operational leadership, and sound decision-making during live events and high-pressure situations.A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIESMedia Assembly & DistributionOversee daily media ingest, processing, preparation, playout, and distribution activities for live and non-live contentSupervise live sports and event operations within Master Control to ensure seamless executionServe as the primary escalation point for operational and technical issues during assigned shiftsMake critical real-time decisions to maintain on-air continuity and protect live revenue streamsQuickly restore services and coordinate recovery efforts during technical failuresMonitor, configure, test, and troubleshoot distribution systems to maximize reliability and operational performanceAssist in the creation and maintenance of standard operating procedures (SOPs), workflow documentation, and operational guidelinesSupport training and knowledge-sharing initiatives across the Master Control teamCollaboration & PartnershipsSupport Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery initiativesPartner with Engineering teams to evaluate, test, and implement new technologies and operational workflowsWork closely with Engineering Operations to troubleshoot and resolve technical issuesCollaborate with Media Operations teams to establish and maintain operational best practicesProvide exceptional support to internal stakeholders across FOX Sports, FOX News Media, FOX Entertainment, and other business unitsCoordinate closely with Master Control Supervisors, Operators, Technical Operations leadership, and Live Integration teams to ensure operational alignmentPartner with Incident Managers and external stakeholders to facilitate timely communication and issue resolutionPerformance ImprovementUtilize operational data and dashboards to identify trends and opportunities for improvementMonitor service performance and operational metricsSupport process improvement initiatives that increase reliability, efficiency, and scalabilityContribute to team and departmental objectives and key resultsWHAT YOU WILL NEED3+ years of experience in a senior broadcast operations, master control, or technical operations roleFluency in both Spanish and EnglishExperience with media operations and technical transmission systemsStrong knowledge of Media Supply Chain workflows, Live Sports Production, and OTT distribution systemsDeep understanding of master control playout automation systemsExperience supporting live event and live sports operationsAbility to manage escalations and make sound decisions in high-pressure environmentsStrong troubleshooting skills across playout, distribution, and broadcast systemsAbility to translate business requirements into operational and technical solutionsExcellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skillsNICE TO HAVE, BUT NOT A DEALBREAKERKnowledge of emerging technologies such as 4K, HDR, and HDR10+Familiarity with industry standards including AMWA and SMPTEExperience with disaster recovery and business continuity operationsExperience testing and validating new broadcast and distribution technologiesKnowledge of IP-based media and broadcast workflows#Ll-DM1We are an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, gender identity, disability, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
