Job Opportunity – Emergency Department Registered Nurse – New York

Start Date: October 26, 2026

Location: Central New York

Schedule: 10:30 AM – 11:00 PM; block scheduling subject to facility needs; floating required as needed

Highlights:

• 64-bed Emergency Department serving a diverse patient population including newborns, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics
• Comprehensive case mix including stroke, sepsis, trauma, myocardial infarction, cardiac arrest, and respiratory failure
• Unit features 40 acute care beds, 6 super track, 2 trauma bays, 10 clinical decision unit beds, 6 psychiatric beds, and 2 triage areas
• EPIC EMR system; charge nurse capability highly preferred
• Specialty equipment experience with rapid infuser and Arctic Sun therapeutic temperature management system
• Experience required with critical drips including pressors, vasodilators, anti-arrhythmics, and sedation medications

Requirements:

• Active New York Registered Nurse license
• Minimum 2+ years of Emergency Department experience with pediatric patient care
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Current AHA ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC certifications required
• Proficiency with EPIC EMR system
• Experience administering pressors (Levophed, Neosynephrine, Epinephrine, Vasopressin, Dobutamine, Dopamine), vasodilators (Cleviprex, Cardene, Nitroglycerin), anti-arrhythmics (Cardizem, Amiodarone, Lidocaine), sedation medications (Precedex, Propofol, Fentanyl), TNK, Heparin, and Insulin
• Must reside 75+ miles from facility to qualify for travel assignment; local rate available for candidates residing within 75 miles
