Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a combined cardiac stepdown and floor unit, managing a patient population that includes cardiology, heart failure, cardiac surgery, and med-surg diagnoses
• Maintain nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:3 on stepdown and 1:5 or 1:6 on the floor assignment
• Titrate drips including heparin, insulin, nitroglycerin, Cardizem, nicardipine, Lasix, amiodarone, and dobutamine
• Monitor and interpret telemetry strips as needed; unit utilizes Philips monitoring with dedicated telemetry technicians
• Manage patients requiring respiratory support including nasal cannula, CPAP, BiPAP, HFNC, and trach-to-vent setups
• Adhere to weekend, holiday, and floating requirements, including rotational pull to floor assignment approximately 1 out of every 3 shifts

Required Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted RN license (any license hits must be disclosed at time of submission)
• Current BLS certification
• Current ACLS certification
• Current NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
• Ability to titrate vasoactive and cardiac drips independently

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior cardiac or cardiac stepdown nursing experience strongly preferred
• Experience with EPIC electronic health records
• Familiarity with Philips telemetry monitoring systems
