Head of Compliance and HR | Claremont

Our client is seeking a dynamic and versatile Head of Compliance and HR to join a fast-growing financial services company. This role is ideal for a highly adaptable professional with extensive experience across compliance, legal, and human resources functions. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring regulatory compliance, managing HR processes, and overseeing legal documentation. A strong interest in crypto and fintech is a plus! This role is perfect for someone who: Has a strong background in financial services, fintech, banking, or crypto. Can seamlessly switch between legal, compliance, HR, and operational responsibilities. Thrives in a fast-paced environment and can work independently. Enjoys collaborating with C-suite executives to drive business growth. Key Responsibilities: Oversee all HR processes, including onboarding, employee relations, and regulatory adherence. Collaborate with external compliance advisors and ensure full regulatory compliance. Conduct due diligence on service providers and manage risk assessments. Draft, review, and manage legal agreements and internal policies. Ensure compliance with FSCA, SARB, FIC, and banking regulations. Support the CEO and CFO with compliance and HR-related strategy and decision-making. Qualifications: Degree or Diploma in Law or Finance. Experience: 5+ years in financial services, banking, fintech, or crypto. Strong background in compliance, HR, and legal operations. Skills & Attributes: Legal expertise to handle in-house legal matters. Strong regulatory knowledge (FSCA, FIC, SARB, Banking). HR and operational management experience.
