Patient Registrar & Scheduling Coordinator

National Jewish Health is seeking a Patient Registrar & Scheduling Coordinator to join the Western Oncology team in Golden, Colorado. This role serves as an important first point of contact for patients, helping coordinate appointments, verify insurance coverage, obtain authorizations, and support access to care throughout the patient experience. The Patient Registrar works closely with patients, providers, and support teams to ensure accurate scheduling, seamless communication, and exceptional customer service in a fast-paced oncology practice.

Key Responsibilities:

• Schedule patient visits, procedures, referrals, and diagnostic services while maintaining accurate provider schedules.
• Verify insurance coverage, obtain required authorizations, and identify potential financial barriers to care.
• Collect and update patient demographic, insurance, and registration information.
• Coordinate appointment scheduling across multiple services to support continuity of care.
• Communicate with patients regarding appointment status, scheduling updates, and next steps in their care.
• Collaborate with clinical and financial teams to support timely access to services and a positive patient experience.
• Maintain accurate documentation and complete daily scheduling, authorization, and registration activities.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Education: High School graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Work Experience: A minimum of two (2) or more years of recent and related experience in a health care or customer service environment required.

Salary Range: $19.2 - $23.79
