About Us
Dulce Vida Animal Rescue is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to saving the lives of abandoned and abused dogs and cats across California and Mexico. Through rescue, rehabilitation, and rehoming, we give animals a second chance at life. Our work is powered by a passionate team—and the generosity of volunteers like you.
Role Summary
Love animals and want to make a difference every weekend? Join us at our Saturday adoption events to help dogs meet their future families! As an Adoption Event Volunteer, you’ll play an essential role in creating a positive, welcoming experience for potential adopters and helping our dogs shine.
Responsibilities
- Assist with event setup and breakdown (tents, tables, crates, supplies)
- Walk, comfort, and socialize dogs during the event
- Speak with potential adopters and share information about each dog’s personality and story
- Ensure dogs stay safe, hydrated, and comfortable throughout the event
- Help with photos, social media, and general event support as needed
What We’re Looking For
- A love for animals and compassion for rescue work
- Reliability and a positive attitude
- Ability to handle dogs safely and follow team instructions
- Availability on Saturdays for at least 3 hours (flexible scheduling)
