Accountant

Under the direction of the Business Administrator, the Accountant performs accounting work and assists in maintaining the accounting system for the school district.

Performance responsibilities include maintaining financial records, preparing deposits, assisting in the preparation of data for auditors, processing purchase orders, compiling statistical and financial data, reconciling and transmitting reports and payments, evaluating the accounting system, assisting with budget preparation, attending required meetings, using computers and electronic equipment, displaying ethical behavior, serving as a role model, participating in in-service and workshop programs, protecting confidentiality, adhering to federal statutes and regulations, and performing other related duties as assigned.

Physical demands include lifting items, sitting, standing, walking, speaking, hearing, using close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, reaching, handling objects, operating tools, computers, and controls.

Environmental demands include exposure to childhood and adult diseases and illnesses, various weather conditions, heated/air conditioned and ventilated facilities, and a building with chemical substances for cleaning, instruction, and equipment operation.

Terms of employment are a 12-month position with salary and work year set by the BOE, ranging from $60,000.00 to $70,000.00.
