This grant‑funded position plays a critical role in leading Play With Me programming, developing and delivering specialized language intervention, and providing in‑house evaluation and therapeutic services for children identified with language delays. Beginning July15,2026, the SLP will onboard during the latter portion of the Summer Play With Me programs and transition into a leadership role for Fall semester programming. The position works closely with Dr. Anny Castilla‑Earls, bilingual speech‑language pathologist and Director of Clinical Research with CCF, and collaborates with the UT Dallas master’s program in speech‑language pathology to support supervised clinical training for bilingual graduate students. This is a grant‑funded position. Salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications. Continued employment is contingent upon the availability of funding and satisfactory performance. Education and Experience Minimum Education and Experience: Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology or Audiology. Holds a current Speech Language Pathology license in the state of Texas or can obtain by the date of hire. Preferred Education and Experience Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech‑Language Pathology (CCC‑SLP) from the American Speech‑Language‑Hearing Association (ASHA). Active Texas licensure as a Speech‑Language Pathologist. Fluency in Spanish and English (spoken and written), with experience providing bilingual services. Experience working with young children (ages 0‑5) and their caregivers. Strong foundation in early language development, bilingual language acquisition, and play‑based intervention. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs) Experience developing or delivering caregiver‑mediated and/or group‑based language interventions. Familiarity with developmental screening tools (e.g., ASQ) and early identification systems. Experience working in community‑based or prevention‑focused programs. Demonstrated interest in clinical training, supervision, and workforce development for bilingual SLPs. Other Qualifications To the extent this position requires the holder to research, work on, or have access to critical infrastructure as defined in Section117.001(2) of the Texas Business and Commerce Code, the ability to maintain the security or integrity of the critical infrastructure is a minimum qualification to be hired and to continue to be employed in the position. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Play With Me Program Leadership Lead and facilitate Play With Me group sessions beginning in the Fall semester, with onboarding and observation starting mid‑July. Integrate weekly language and literacy lessons into guided play and caregiver‑child interactions. Model culturally responsive, play‑based language facilitation strategies for caregivers in both Spanish and English. Adapt Play With Me activities to support bilingual language development and shared book‑reading routines. Specialized Language Intervention Development and Delivery Develop and implement a Play With Me‑informed language intervention program for children identified with language delays. Provide direct therapeutic services to bilingual children and their caregivers using evidence‑based, family‑centered approaches. Conduct in‑house speech‑language evaluations for children referred through Play With Me and Grow With Me. Reduce barriers to care by delivering interventions within trusted, community‑based settings. Training, Supervision, and Collaboration Collaborate with the UT Dallas Speech‑Language Pathology master’s program to support supervised clinical training for bilingual graduate students. Provide mentorship and guidance to student clinicians participating in program delivery. Partner with Dr. Anny Castilla‑Earls and CCF staff to ensure fidelity to evidence‑based practices and alignment with grant objectives. Documentation, Evaluation, and Grant Support Maintain accurate clinical documentation, including intervention notes and progress monitoring records. Contribute to data collection and reporting requirements for philanthropic funders. Participate in program planning, interdisciplinary meetings, and continuous quality improvement efforts. Additional Information Work will be performed on‑site and in person. About the Play With Me Program Using philanthropic funding, CCF has enhanced Play With Me by intentionally infusing language development, emergent literacy, and shared book reading into guided play‑based sessions. Weekly language‑focused lessons and caregiver coaching strategies support parents in embedding evidence‑based language activities into daily routines. While these enhancements promote early language development broadly, children with identified language delays or disorders require more intensive intervention. This position was created to meet that need by developing and leading a specialized Play With Me‑based language intervention for bilingual children, reducing delays between identification and access to care. Children are identified through CCF's Play With Me and Grow With Me developmental screening programs, which together screen hundreds of children annually and identify well over 100 children per year in need of language intervention.
