Description
  • Conduct thorough evaluations for individuals spanning pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics utilizing both standardized assessments and observation.
  • Craft bespoke treatment strategies aimed at achieving patient-specific short-term objectives alongside comprehensive long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing goals.
  • Deliver targeted speech therapy interventions tailored to enhance communication skills, language proficiency, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing capabilities.
  • Engage with a multi-disciplinary team of physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, doctors, and families to establish integrated care plans.
  • Provide educational resources to patients and families, empowering them to continue progress between therapy sessions.
  • Occasionally assist with patient assessments and therapy within inpatient settings to ensure seamless care throughout the therapeutic process.
  • Keep meticulous and timely documentation that complies with all relevant state, federal, and organizational standards.
  • Continuously pursue professional development and stay abreast of industry advancements.
Education
  • A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • A completed Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet certified by ASHA.
Certifications
  • Current state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
  • Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of employment commencement.

  • Strong expertise in evidence-based treatment modalities for diverse age groups, with a comprehensive comprehension of both developmental and acquired communication and swallowing disorders.
