Description

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients across all ages, employing both standardized assessments and observational methodologies.
• Create tailored treatment strategies that encapsulate immediate goals as well as long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing challenges.
• Deliver one-on-one speech therapy sessions centered on language, fluency, voice, and swallowing.
• Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team, including physical and occupational therapists, physicians, nurses, families, and caregivers, to devise comprehensive care plans.
• Provide education and resources for patients and their families to foster progress beyond therapy sessions.
• Assist with occasional inpatient evaluations and interventions, ensuring that continuity of care is at the forefront of your practice.
• Keep precise and timely documentation in alignment with health regulations and best practices.
• Commit to ongoing learning through continuing education and networking with peers in the field.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet certified by ASHA.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, required within a month of hire.
