Requirements

Certifications: AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, NIHSS
Start Dates: 10/19 or 11/02
Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a similar role
Charting System: Experience with Epic required
Travel experience required

Job Responsibilities

May be required to float across five hospitals to similar or lower acuity units as needed, excluding the ED. It is expected to work a total of 4 weekend shifts within a 4-week cycle and at least one holiday, including the holiday weekend.

Patient Care Details

Patient Age Groups: Adults, Geriatrics
Daily Census: Varies across the system of five hospitals
Interdisciplinary Support: Available from various departments including Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, and more.

Unit Characteristics

Patient Ratios: 3 patients per nurse during days, nights, and weekends
Float Requirements: May float to Medical/Surgical/Telemetry units, including observation or ED holds as needed
Orientation: 36 hours of orientation provided

Skills and Experience

The ideal candidate will possess skills in:

Telemetry monitoring
Cardiac drips and patient management
Invasive and non-invasive airway management
Post-surgical care, including cardiac and neurosurgical patients
Preparation and care for patients undergoing treatments such as hemodialysis and wound care

Location
