General Summary:


The Purchasing Manager will lead the centralized purchasing operations across all Ace Electric Divisions. The Purchasing Manager is responsible for developing and executing strategic purchasing and procurement processes and procedures for project-direct buyouts, company-wide commodity purchasing, rebate programs, tool procurement, hardware procurement, rental equipment management, and vendor partnerships.

The Purchasing Manager will lead the purchasing team and procurement workflows to ensure materials, equipment, and services are acquired efficiently and timely according to project schedules. This role will work closely with Division Vice President/Division Mangers, Project Managers, Operations Managers, Accounting, Logistics Managers, Logistics Coordinators and Field Leadership to optimize costs, improve vendor relationship, standardize procurement processes, and maximize purchasing leverage company-wide.

Responsibilities:


Strategic Procurement Leadership

• Lead centralized purchasing activities for all Divisional
• Develop and implement procurement strategies that leverage company buying
• Manage project buyouts in collaboration with Project Managers and Division Operations
• Create standardized purchasing procedures and best practices across all divisions.
• Analyze procurement performance and identify opportunities for cost reduction and process
• Establish and maintain procurement metrics and reporting

Project Procurement Support

• Support project teams with material procurement planning and buyout
• Assist with identifying long-lead equipment and critical path
• Monitor procurement schedules to align with project
• Maintain project procurement logs and material status
• Coordinate with Project Managers to ensure timely deliveries and minimize project
• Support tracking of owner-furnished and contractor-furnished

Commodity Purchasing Programs

• Develop and manage company-wide commodity purchasing
• Consolidate purchases to maximize volume
• Negotiate pricing agreements with electrical distributors and
• Monitor market conditions, material pricing trends, and supply chain
• Create standardized purchasing agreements for repetitive products and

Vendor & Manufacturer Relations

• Develop strategic relationships with manufacturers, distributors, rental vendors, and service
• Lead annual pricing negotiations and purchasing

• Resolve supplier disputes and delivery

Rebate Program Management

• Manage manufacturer rebate and incentive

Logistics & Inventory Coordination

Position Requirements:

• License: Valid state driver's license as required by job conditions or by the company.
• Certification: None
• Education: Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics or related field preferred.
• Experience
  • Minimum 5 years of strategic purchasing experience in the electrical construction industry.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a leadership or management position.
  • Previous experience in field electrical installation preferred.
  • Previous project management experience preferred.
