Role Overview: The Sous Chef is a valued Dining Services member responsible for assisting in producing meals for corporate diners and their guests every week. They are primarily responsible for planning and directing food preparation. This includes supervising staff and performing other administrative duties. Core Responsibilities: Culinary Support: Under the direction of the Executive Chef, prepare food items according to established recipes and menus in a way that preserves food freshness, quality, and appeal. Kitchen Support: Store food items according to established standards of practice; utilize proper labeling and dating. Maintain Cleanliness :Maintain production records and logs (food usage, overages, shortages, customer counts, etc.). Maintain a clean and sanitized work environment. Ensures that all sanitation guidelines, health codes set by local and state Health Departments, as well as OSHA, are being followed.
