Grade Checker

DNT Construction, LLC is looking for field personnel as a Construction Grade Checker for rough and precise grading.

Our Grade Checkers are responsible for understanding plans and specs, layout of crew and project, providing clear direction for cut/fill, setting hubs and stakes, calculating percentages, volumes, areas, and production rates, accurately setting grade, set up sloping laser, shoot in building elevations, GPS set up & operation, operate within OSHA and DNT safety policies, and help to achieve project schedules. This position is Monday through Saturday and often requires overtime. 

Experience in the use of measuring instruments and hand tools are necessary. They must also have training in marking and reading survey stakes to determine grade specifications. A qualified Grade Checker must have the ability to observe, direct, and control equipment excavating activities to conform to stake references and communicate with equipment operators, supervision and management. DNT believes in promoting from within the organization and values individuals that are highly motivated seeking to give those individuals opportunities for further advancement. • Be ON TIME and READY TO WORK
• Be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and physical
• Be able to work outside in all weather for extended periods of time
• Be able to communicate effectively with management and field personnel
• Bilingual is a plus but not a must

Compensation:

• Compensation is based on experience.
