This contract position offers the opportunity to support schools with vital social-emotional services on an as-needed basis for FMLA leave coverage during the upcoming spring semester. You’ll be instrumental in guiding students, collaborating with school teams, and offering resources to families—building a positive impact that reaches beyond the classroom.

Ideal candidates bring experience in educational settings, with a special focus on supporting students with special needs. Assignments may span one or more schools, depending on caseload and your availability, for a duration of two to four months.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Active Missouri Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
• Prior school-based experience; SPED exposure highly valued
• Comfort working both independently and as part of multidisciplinary teams
• Strong communication, advocacy, and organizational skills
• Ability to complete all district-required credentialing steps, including signing technology forms and fingerprint clearance

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct counseling and support services to students, groups, and families
• Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with special education staff
• Assist with crisis intervention, behavior management, and resource coordination
• Foster relationships with students and families to facilitate holistic support
• Adapt to varied caseloads and assignments as determined by district needs
