Quick Facts: Location: Prestonsburg, KY Start Date: 09/01/2026 End Date: 08/31/2027 Shift: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday Hours/Week: 40 hours Employment Type: Contract License/Certs: Board Certified in Hematology or Medical Oncology Experience: Recent patient-facing experience required Pay & Benefits: Hourly Pay Rate: $49,92.00 Pay package discussed upon application Benefits: Comprehensive medical benefits, weekly pay via direct deposit, licensure, certification, travel reimbursements when applicable, paid sick time, 24/7 support team, referral bonuses, and other reimbursements What You’ll Do: Provide outpatient hematology and oncology consultation and follow-up care Support multidisciplinary team including APPs and nursing staff Supervise infusion therapies and manage patient treatment plans Conduct new patient consultations and follow-ups Collaborate with tumor board and participate in continuous quality improvement Manage a low-volume outpatient caseload (~15 patients/day) Document and order in Meditech EMR system Participate in quality and patient safety initiatives What You Need: Board Certification in Hematology or Medical Oncology Recent patient-facing experience in oncology Eligible for Kentucky medical license Strong clinical skills and collaborative team attitude Ability to support outpatient cancer care workflows About the Assignment: This outpatient Hematology/Oncology practice supports a clinical environment with low patient volume, a dedicated support team, and a focus on quality care. The facility has robust support staff, including APPs and oncology-trained RNs, to ensure efficient workflow and patient safety.
