Gastroenterology Physician

Aya Locums is seeking a skilled Gastroenterologist to provide locum services in Prestonsburg, Kentucky . This is an excellent opportunity for a Physician looking for flexible scheduling and a rewarding work environment in a locum-to-permanent capacity. Coverage is needed starting May 4, 2026 , for an expected duration of 12 months .
Job Details:Case Types: General GI including Upper Endoscopies (EGD) and Colonoscopies; mid-level/moderate complexity ERCP is required.
Setting: Acute Care Hospital.
Schedule: Monday Friday, 8:00 AM 5:00 PM. On-call required and shared with another provider.
Support: APP support provided.
Physician (MD/DO) with a specialty in Gastroenterology .
State License: Kentucky license (or willingness to obtain via "Willing to License" option).
Credentialing: Estimated timeline is approximately 3 months and includes Medicare/Medicaid enrollment.
Skills: Strong relationship-building and communication skills are highly preferred to serve a pleasant but often clinically complex patient population.
In-house credentialing & licensing teams.
Competitive compensation: $4,000.00/day $4,500.00/day.
Weekly direct deposit.
Travel and lodging expenses fully covered.
Comprehensive malpractice insurance provided.
