We're building our kitchen from the ground up, which means you'll help establish the standards, systems, and culture from day one. You'll likely be working primarily on the griddle and fryer, crafting dishes that showcase quality ingredients in a setting where golf meets wilderness. Being part of an opening team means extra responsibility, but also the chance to shape how things work rather than just following someone else's playbook.ScheduleAre you a night owl? The PM shift hours are 12pm–8 or 9pm. Full-time employees must have weekend availability.Property DescriptionWild Spring Dunes will be a premier public golf resort and refuge where world-class golf meets unparalleled accommodations and homesites. Wild Spring Dunes is located in historic East Texas, two hours from both Dallas and Houston, and 25 minutes from nearby Nacogdoches.Key ResponsibilitiesPossess the ability to work independently or as part of a small team.Manage a designated station in the kitchen, preparing dishes to order with attention to detail while ensuring the station is properly stocked and organized.Prepare and serve food according to established specs.Coordinate food orders to ensure timely and efficient delivery to guests.Follow safety and quality guidelines for special food requests, particularly those related to allergies.Clean and sanitize work areas and kitchen equipment according to company policies and health regulations.Follow safety protocols to maintain a secure and safe kitchen environment.Maintain a professional appearance and adhere to personal cleanliness and sanitation standards.Monitor inventory levels, requisitioning items needed for menu preparation.Properly store ingredients and products, ensuring proper covering and dating.Perform additional tasks as required to support the kitchen operations.QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent required.Strong cooking skills with a focus on quality food preparation.Excellent communication and customer service skills, both written and verbal.Consistently maintains a positive attitude, professional demeanor, and appearance.Ability to problem-solve, manage multiple tasks under pressure, and work independently with minimal supervision.Physical stamina to stand, walk, lift, bend, and kneel for extended periods.Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally, 30 lbs. frequently, and 10 lbs. consistently.Flexibility to work varying hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.$17 - $21 an hour Full time employees are eligible for a comprehensive benefits package that includes health insurance, a retirement plan, and paid time off.We are an equal-opportunity employer.
