Direct Support Professional

Direct Support Professional Guided Steps is seeking a compassionate and experienced Direct Support Professional to join our team in Newton, NJ on a Full Time basis. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in helping individuals with developmental disabilities reach their maximum potential. Responsibilities Provide one-on-one support and guidance to individuals with developmental disabilities, helping them to develop life skills, achieve personal goals, and build confidence Assist with daily living tasks, such as personal care, medication management, and household maintenance Promote independence and self-advocacy by empowering individuals to make their own decisions and take ownership of their lives Collaborate with other professionals, including therapists, psychiatrists, and case managers, to ensure comprehensive care and support Maintain accurate records and documentation, adhering to industry standards and regulatory requirements Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay current with best practices and advances in the field Schedule Monday-Friday, 10am-4pm Monday-Friday, 4pm-12am (total of 70 hours per week) Required Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required Male or female able to lift 50lbs with medical experience Prior experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred, but not required Company Culture At Guided Steps, we love to see you grow.
