About the role The Food Production & Packaging Associate plays a key role in crafting Manly Man Co.’s signature food-based gifts — from our famous Beef Jerky Bouquets to other unique edible creations. You’ll join a fast‑paced, fun‑loving production team that works together to assemble, package, and prepare high‑quality products that make people smile. This is a temporary seasonal position expected to run through February 12 , supporting our busiest seasons — Christmas and Valentine’s Day . During this time, we’ll use your performance and fit with the team to evaluate potential opportunities for full‑time, year‑round roles as they become available. Overtime opportunities will be offered during peak production periods for high performing staff. Schedule Monday through Friday 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM What you’ll do Assemble and package food‑based products such as jerky bouquets, gift boxes, and other specialty items. Follow proper food safety, handling, and sanitation procedures (training provided). Inspect finished products for presentation, consistency, and quality control. Maintain clean and organized workstations and equipment. Support daily production goals and collaborate with team members and supervisors. Assist with inventory rotation, labeling, and preparation of packaging materials. Participate in occasional overtime during peak seasons (Valentine’s Day, Father’s Day, Christmas). Qualifications Must have or obtain a valid San Diego County Food Handler Card prior to starting in the production environment. If you do not currently have one, the cost (up to $20) will be reimbursed after completing 80 hours of work. Strong attention to detail and pride in producing quality work. Reliable, punctual, and comfortable working on your feet for most of the shift. Ability to follow directions and maintain focus in a fast‑paced environment. Positive, team‑oriented attitude. Prior experience in food production, assembly, or manufacturing is helpful but not required. Must be able to read and communicate effectively in English for safety and instruction purposes.
