- **Required Experience:** Minimum of 2 years experience, specifically in Neuro ICU. Traveler Experience: Unit will not accept first-time travelers. - **Required Skills:** Vents, IV Start, Neuro Intensive Care Unit, Interpretation of dysrhythmias, Management of dysrhythmias, Blood Product Administration, Central line care/management, Continuous IV sedation, CVA/Acute Stroke management, External ventricular drains (EVD), ICP Monitoring, Post Neurosurgery management, Care of Ventilated Patient, Isolation Precautions/Use of PPE, Lumbar Drain experience. Strong neuro experience required, especially in stroke patient care. - **Required Certifications:** ACLS, BCLS, NIHSS. - **Preferred Skills:** Arterial line management. - **Licensure:** NC or Compact license pending OK for submittal. - **Additional Requirements:** Must pass EKG Testing prior to start. Must have strong Neuro Critical Care background. - **Patient Diagnoses Experience:** Experience with strokes (ischemic, hemorrhagic [SAH]), SDH, craniotomies, carotid stents, carotid endarterectomies, aneurysm coiling/clipping, seizures, Depth electrodes, myasthenia gravis. Experience with drains such as EVDs, LDs, hemovacs, Camino (ICP monitoring) is required.
