Their focus is on service, product and service upgrades, managing relationships both internally and externally, and client retention. The Commercial Insurance Consultant is responsible for identifying marketplace opportunities, assisting with prospecting, and developing proposals. Significant collaboration between Producers and other team members is required.**How You Will Contribute:*** Responsible for the combined functions of the development and successful acquisition of new business revenue from new and existing clients and providing a high level of client service to assigned accounts.* Manage the client and prospect relationships to help grow the book of existing accounts, providing and recommending the most appropriate insurance solutions.* Prepare renewal instructions; prepare new business strategies in collaboration with the producer, including proposals and presentations while ensuring agreement with customer’s requests/requirements.* Analyze prospect’s needs and current insurance programs and find opportunities to strengthen their risk management structure.* Strategically plan and communicate with clients quarterly or more often as required in order to improve client relationships and retention, including meeting with or contacting accounts 120 days prior to renewal to review strategy changes or additions required in coverage.* Complete necessary research on client inquiries using multiple internal and external vendor systems and resources and prepare appropriate responses in real-time.* Prepare marketing strategy information and market the account to insurance carriers.* Document all meetings; present carrier proposals to prospect.* Negotiate premiums with the insurance carrier.* Responsible for collecting all the premiums due on each account (if applicable).**Licenses & Certifications:*** 2-20 Property & Casualty License within 90 days**Skills & Experience to be Successful:*** 4-year college degree or equivalent relevant experience* Results-oriented Team Player* Excel in collaborative team environment* Ability to multitask, meet deadlines, create and break relationships, take action, and handle multiple projects/tasks at once* Excellent verbal and written communication skills* Routine or periodic travel is required; which may require the teammate to drive their own vehicle or a rental vehicle.
